So, I think it is important that I share a little of my background with you guys and how beachbody became part of my life. After I had my son Cole, I made a vow to myself after he turned One (actually New Years Resolution as corny as it sounds), to lose weight and get healthy. At the time, I did not know what all beachbody had to offer but after completing round 1 of Insanity, I fell in love with Shaun T workouts and purchased Hip Hop Abs and Rockin Body. I completed 2 rounds of Insanity, 1 round of Rocking body, 1 round of Hip Hop Abs, and became an avid runner completing my first Half Marathon in November 2012. I was in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!
I continued on this path through most of 2013 and then found out I was pregnant with number 2 in September 2013 and had my beautiful daughter, Ella Grace on May 13, 2014. I was 194 pounds when I got to the hospital. After about 4 weeks, I started a post natal boot camp and started losing that baby weight. I knew it was only a matter of time before I really wanted/needed to kick it into high gear, so I thought, what about round 3 of Insanity!?!?! This time I wanted to do it right and not only do the program but do the ShakeO as well.
I was on maternity leave at the time and with baby number 2 was worrying about $$ and bills and would my current job really be enough with now TWO kids? I was also battling PPDD and wanting to regain an identity for myself. I knew that in order to be the best mom and wife, I needed to re focus a little energy on myself. I needed to find a hobby and work on my inner self just as much as I felt the need to change physically. Being the best version of yourself and feeling confident, would not only benefit myself but those around me. I messaged a coach who I had seen a lot of posts about Beachbody and his coaching success, and I started inquiring about Beachbody Coaching. It only took me a few days to realize that this was something I NEEDED to do. Not only was I going on this journey personally, but I wanted to inspire others because I figured if I can do it, ANYONE can! I was introduced to Shakeology and now cannot imagine a day without it! It is one of the reasons that I was able to lose over 60 pounds and regain my self confidence as well as take my health and fitness by the reigns! I can't think of one aspect in my life that has not changed for the better as a result of Shakeology and Beachbody in general!
I pretty much hit the ground running and started creating my challenge groups right away in hopes of inspiring and motivating others. I had no idea the amount of interest this could possibly spark and was astonished with the outreach of people. In my experience thus far with beachbody coaching I have grown many loyal clients and achieved Success Club almost every month since I started in June 2014. To me my clients are more than just a number; it is a commitment for me to provide motivation and support to each individual, most importantly, it is CHANGING THEIR LIVES, and how cool is that? Meanwhile I have been able to make a decent secondary income. This income helps me tremendously with all of those unexpected expenses that come up and even a trip in June 2015, with my husband to the mountains for a WEEK. We had not been on a trip without kids since our honeymoon in 2009, so this was awesome that beachbody could fund this for us. I have to say that one of the best parts about this, is how rewarding it has been. I am simply sharing my story with others, inspiring them to try and being a part of their successes while earning an income and building my entrepreneurial skills! I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for my team, myself, and my family! I love my challenge groups and have been so proud of each individual’s success!
Because of Beachbody I have traveled to Nashville, Bahamas, Jamaica, New Orleans, Punta Cana, Riveria Maya Mexico, Indianapolis, cruised to the Bahamas and Haiti, and will be going back to Mexico in 2021 . But it hasn't been all rainbows and butterflies.... You see I lost my father unexpectedly in January 2016 and I cant tell you how amazed I am with this community. These people and this company breathed life back into me when I felt completely breathless. I continue to have opportunities upon opportunities just because of the person I have become since I signed up as a Team Beachbody coach. I have run for Mrs. Virginia, traveled more, paid off debts, been part of infomercials, taken part in an official coach test group with Shift Shop, and most recently had the ability to go part time for work and dig my heels in even more with my business and creating a life by design that allows me more time with my family too!
In November 2018, I left my corporate job that quite frankly made me miserable because it was not me at all! I was sat behind a computer and under a lot of pressure to meet unrealistic goals. There was very little flexibility there and I lived in that environment for 8+ hours each weekday for two years. I started working part time as a "prevention program coordinator" for health promotion programming in the state, and I settled more into my job as a coach. On March 11, 2020 I advised my part time job that I would be leaving in June to pursue my business full time and to be at home with my family. I have dreamed about this moment for so many years and it is finally here! Again, Beachbody does not guarantee compensation or success, this is based on individual skill and effort. It might not be your path, or heck it might be and you could get there a heck of a lot faster than I did, but that is the beauty of this journey--it's very personal and you go at your own pace!
My point here (and then I will shut up) is that, if you are someone who likes to inspire others and leads a healthy lifestyle, then ask yourself this, why am I not giving MYSELF the opportunity to get paid to do this? Your not changing anything you are doing, you are just going to earn income on top of it now, so why not…what is holding you back? What do you have to lose?
